damnit where's the 1/4 mile times for the 3.5 frankestein? all we see are 1/8 mile times... top end is where that car should shine right?

TYPER, you need to drive that sexy 3.5 to a REAL track so you can tell us what we really want to know which of course is the 1/4 time.

I could give a SH|T about 1/8 times because there is no perfect conversion to 1/4! Those are nice 1/8 times though!@!

No such thing man. Gearing, wind resistance & engine torque curve. All play major parts in what you run in the 1/4.

Can't accurately guess 1/4 time from 1/8th unless you know your car in the 1/4 already. Simple as that.

Siggy is rite

but didn't someone mention that the CL-S shines in the topend? Esp. w/ his conversion, thus he shouldn't be concerned 2 w/the 1/4 mile track

he could very well be in the 13's though, when i ran my 14.16 @ 99.11 i ran a 9.17 @ 77.83 1/8.

if he has top end he's in the 13's.

everybody knows quarters are better than eighths.

Ya should be close with those #'s.

LOL, funny you posted this I was just thinking about your times when I wrote that last post. That's a good comparison. Too bad it's different engines. But I'd expect his to shine better than the 3.2 anyway. Ya high 13's I'd say. Be very close anyway.

Only one way to find out

I agree with everyone else in saying to TypeR: "You need to drive to Moroso & get some 1/4 mile times", but in TypeR's defense, when I went to the track on 10/20, my 1/8 mile times were between 8.756 and 9.061 & they were all 13 sec 1/4 mile times.

On my 9.061 in the 1/8 mile my 1/4 mile time was 13.922, therefore I would estimate TypeR's car to be running about a 13.9 or 14.0 in the 1/4 mile.

My other runs for Comparison:

60' (2.085)
1/8 8.756@82.23
1/4 13.553@101.36

60' (2.184)
1/8 8.893@81.75
1/4 13.693@101.77

60' (2.202)
1/8 8.987@81.46
1/4 13.805@101.60

Congratulations on your times. Now next time lets have you meet me at Moroso. 100 miles is not that far you can do it.

100 miles is sarasota try 400-500miles to miami...
60' let me tell you first part of it is there is alot left in the bank off the line...i am only launching at about 50% torque break and feed it throttle ...peg leg it and boom im up in smoke ...to little well 2.2
but with alittle chirping about three chirps and bamn...got ya 2.098...BTW best '60 of the night was 2.074 aLSO had an .084 three 2.0's ya baby...ya...if i had SSR 16's with 245/50 i KNOW i got a low 8.8maybe a high 8.7....oh get this if some of you read the racing section...along time back i mentioned beating a GT '98 body that was blown capable of running 8.5's his girl drove it that night and got a 9.0 to my 9.5 but feel asleep at the light...anyway he's done alot since then and has since ran a 7.4 :wow: we lined up ...ofcourse i had no chance but gave it my best...he stood his car up about 3 feet in the air maybe 4...it was the first time it had did that ...the look on his face when we finished...priceless...i get beside him and yell..."hey you need wheelie bars" he said "did i lift the front end?" i laughed "oh ya" ...he said "that scared the shit out of me" he smoked me BTW

It maybe 400-500 miles from miami, but how far are you from West Palm Beach? Moroso is located in West Palm Beach. I'm not too sure where Port Richey is.
