ONSTAR??? Onstar blows. It's just a voice giving you directions. Frankly I like seeing my location on the screen so much better.

Rock Dog, ONSTAR is much more than just directions. It is primarily for Emergencies. It allows you to lock or unlock your car remotely if you lock yourself out of your vehicle, it will automatically dispatch a wrecker and EMS if your air bags deploy, it can provide diagnostics for your vehicle if you have a breakdown at some remote location and need repair work done. It does these things and many many more. It does not just give directions. Inform yourself my brother.

yea, plus... you can use them as 411... or as your personal concierge... so they can make reservations and shit for u.

I would buy a 320hp MDX if they put Xenons and REAL wood in it.

Or at least scale down on the fake wood.

Actually... if you paid ANY attention...

ALL Acuras will be getting OnStar... beginning with the '02 RL.

Honda licensed it from GM along with GM licensing some Honda engines.

Nevermind... I just read that the Honda/GM V8 deal was nixed.

Like common rumors... theyll use the RL V8 in the MDX and the Pickup truck.

anyways... how about this X5... it aint too shabby.

350 hp, 376 lb.ft torque

0-60 in 6.5, not spectacular, but pretty quick. Really quick for an SUV

1/4 mile 14.9

5.0 Liter V8...

Oh yeah did I forget to mention the wheel sizes?

9.5 x 22” offset 35 with Pirelli PZero Rosso 265 / 30 – 22 front
10.5 x 22” offset 28 with Pirelli PZero Rosso 295 / 25 – 22 rear

Let me say this in plain english.

TWENTY TWO INCH RIMS.

//edit: damn I bet if they stuck some 15 lb Volk's on that ride it'd fly 0-60 in 5.3 or so... hahahaha

BMW will not be coming out with any product named BMW M X5. Mazda has the rights to the MX6 and has already threatened to sue BMW if that would ever occur.

Anything M in an X5 is a long way off! They are going to produce an X5 HP with 347 H.P.
This is to compete with the Mercedes ML 55 and the new 2002 345 hp Cadillac Escalade!

OK, the wheels look trick. But that split lower grill opening is way too big...its as out of proportion as Jay Leno's chin. Forget about scraping bugs off that lower grill...that gash is big enough to swallow roadkill whole.

The M X5 will not be produced any time soon, instead, there will be an X5 HP coming in September. About 342HP, 0 - 60mph in 6.3 seconds.

Hahahh check this out, I found lots of webpages about the M X5

http://www.mx5club.org.nz/info/

http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/pages/interior.htm

http://www.mx5.net/

But that's funny, BMW must have decided to merge with Mazda, and gave the SUV a new look. Its small, maybe 2100 lbs even less, comes with a 5 or 6 speed gearbox and only 130 hp. And its convertible. How strange. I find that people on the websites like to call them Miata's, how odd.

BMW will not be coming out with any product named BMW M X5. Mazda has the rights to the MX6 and has already threatened to sue BMW if that would ever occur.

Mazda also has rights to the MX5 (Miata). They call em Eunos Roadsters abroad. And MX5's universally.

Exactly. reminds me of Boeing engineers and how they test the safety/fault tolerance of their 747 windshields and engines by shooting pigeons, chickens at high speed into da turbine engines

i could see them shooting friggin giant pengiuns thru those air dams in the front
