Tyoe-S beats a moded CL ....

@ www.superhonda.org it was reported that a Type-S did 14.5 @ 97 MPH vs 15.3 # 93 for a moded CL 3.0... Cool

hey guy that was me with the moded 3.0CL and my friend with the typeS, first off if you dont believe me i'll send you the time slips, next the ****ing typeS is fast he ran 14.5 at 97.5 and he is stock, i have a 99 3.0CL with comptech headers,apex vtec controller, tanabe exaust,cold air intake,and clear coners, and i ran 15.3 at 97.2. it was about a car lenght difference or so. if you want to see pics of my car go to www.acuracl.homepage.com i'm on the front cover and in the photo gallery on the bottom of the page.

If the 3.0 CL was going 93mph at the 1/4 mile line he could be running quicker times than a 15.3! With an 89mph trap speed I've pulled a best time of 15.45 with an intake and pulleys. A friend of mine who was at the track the same day, ran a best time of 15.17 with a 91-92mph trap speed and he has intake, headers, axle back exhaust and pulleys. Heck I even have his run recorded into an .asf file.

Funny thing is you can hear him bumping into his rev limiter during the 1-2 shift. His tranny has been giving him problems and doesn't shift soon enough so he has to manually shift through his gears when he goes to the track.

The 3.0 CL's and Accords can do 14's with just boltons and I've already heard of CL-S's doing 13's with just boltons.

All this with a cheesy automatic transmission.
