Think you're confusing the VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) as a 2nd throttlebody. It's found on automatic CL-S', but not manual transmission vehicles.

The throttle body on the passenger side of the engine bay is for VSA. The one on the driver side is the regular throttle body.

does anyone know what would happen if you took out the throttle body plate out of the vsa unit ? or what would happen if you completely took it out the unit?? i know theres a few threads on this but i could not find any explanations on how to bypass the vsa successfully. thanks

are you asking because the intake you bought is longer or something?

no, not because of a wrong sized intake but because of a restriction of airflow. I plan on porting my throttle body, intake manifold etc down the road and don't see a point in porting the vsa unit if i can just get rid of it all together. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm kinda in the same boat.
I want to know when my type s motor is installed in my base cl (clp) if I will get a cel not using the vsa with a type s ecu.
And if I will get a light how to go around it.

Maybe this will help...https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ght=vsa+delete

You have to trick the ecu like it's still there. You do not wrong and of course you end up with a CEL and major loss of power due to the ecu freaking out.

There was a thread about this a while back and I think it involved using a resister or whatever from Radio Shack. Can anyone chime in here?

so then if you delete the vsa you're in the same boat as the 6 speeds.

the 6 speed intake will go right to the throttle body at the manifold.

or you'll need to mod a lil something up
