Two things I will never understand

Two things i will never understand:

1. Yesterday i saw an old Honda Civic (88-90) and it was BEAT. It had lots of paint damage and dents and dings everywhere. But the thing is, the guy had 18" RH C2's. I don't understand why anyone would want to put rims on a car like that. The rims cost more then the car. Its just something that makes no sense to me.

2. I CAN'T stand when your driving down the road and there is a car waiting to pull out from a street, driveway, store, whatever. There is no one behind you and the idiot decides to pull out in front of you and it always seems that they do this at the last second. I get pissed and i just wonder why they can't wait for you to pass and then go. Its like they want to inconvience you.

Anybody else agree with any of these?

I've driven in Bradenton and MAN they do that ALL THE FREAKIN TIME...not that the speed limit in Bradenton is that fast, but man, what a irritant that is.

I can't agree with you more. I've thought this exact thing many times. Everyone loves to compete so getting ahead of you makes him that much more in the lead.... in his little mind at least.

I couldn't agree with you more. #1 people are just pathetic. They need to get a clue. #2 people need to learn how to drive. What gets me the most is when you are stopped at a traffic light in a 2 lane road and you are in the left lane. When the light turns green and the person in front of you decides to put their left turn signal on! People like that should be subject to sniper fire!!!!

#2 i hate, my good friend crashed cause of that, he was racing a 911 turbo going 160+ all the sudden this guy pulls out and went right in front of my friend, mind u it was about 2am and no one else was on the road except my firends E55 and a 911turbo going 160+. He nearly killed all 3 people, luckily it only ended up to be totally the E55 and the guy's SUV, my firend's E55 missed hitting the porsche by like an inch

In the defense of the guy who pulled out, I doubt he was expecting anyone doing 160MPH on a city street. Ever notice it's hard to judge a car's speed at long distances at night? Could have been the reason...

EXACTLY!!! What...they didn't realize that they needed to turn until they saw the green light and it triggered a response in their pea-sized brain!? Fukin morons. What makes it worse is when you could have been in the right lane beforehand, but now it is impossible to get over. THEN YOU MISS THE LIGHT! I sometimes understand road rage with so many idiots allowed to drive. Makes ya wonder how they ever passed a driving test. Even tho all the mentioned things are inconviences, I still believe that the most dangerous is those "in a hurry" people that run red lights. See it most everyday. People...if the light has "just turned" red, you need to stop, NOT give it the gas. Just my $.02

How about #3:

You are tying to merge into an exit jog handler just like everybody in line with your right turn signal on, and some fuker who is behind you and also merging, all of a sudden speeds up and tries to merge first from the behind such that you have no place to merge and you almost hit him, because he did it so unexpectedly

Actually it was on a highway. I understand you cant tell the speed cause I cant tell either at night, but if the whole road is empty except 2 cars flying down(or even just going normally), wouldnt you wait for the 2 cars to pass first? And the guy pulled out so close that my friend hit the front side of the SUV, the SUV didnt even get out far enough, only his front was on the highway. The porsche driver said the SUV pulled out when they were well within 300 feet.

A good example of how a large percentage of drivers think that they are the only ones that need to be somewhere...

I like to consider myself a mild mannered person, but when I'm driving and there are 8 million idiots out on the road.....UGH.....talk about frustrating. #2 people take it in the ass!!! EVERY morning I see this fawking lady driving like '83 Chevelle. We come to the four way stop and she goes first EVERY time (she's ALWAYS there three seconds before me.) She drives like 15-20 in a 35 one-lane road. It drives me batty!!! It's happened the last four straight days I've worked. And sporadically for the last 9 months. She WILL go down soon.

Another fawking thing that kills me are people that park next to me......I'll stop right there. I have to stay calm and composed at the workplace.

The only place they will get VERY fast is 6 feet under the ground .....
What could possibly more important than your own safety?
The older I get, the more people I see dieing in car accidents....

Some drivers need to realize that, its not a joke, people DO fuking die in cars !

Yeah, you go to store and purposely park in the back forty so you won't get dings and some1 inevitably parks their POS right next to you.

Tell me about it... What I hate the most, when I park my car nicely and with plenty of space from the front, back, left and right.
Then when I come out from the parking lot, some old fuking wan is like 2 inch close to my car with like 2 feet crossing over onto my parking sport.... I just wana kill this fuking bastard, probably some stupid, low life peace of sh*t who drinks beers, flips burgers, and watches pornos and have no respect for other people's property

#4... Here in AZ there are a lot of intersections with 2 left turn lanes. If you are driving in the far left lane, you have to turn into the farthest left lane on the other street. These jerkoffs here drift across 3 lanes because they realized half way through the turn, that they need to get into a parking lot from the right lane. I get cut off all the time.

AND ANOTHER FAWKING THING....people that leave their damn grocery carts in parking lots. Before I walk into a grocery store I find myself walking all over the damn parking lot, clearing all the loose cannon carts floating around banging in fenders and doors. That shit......UGH.......

Man.....this topic gets me off.

Yeah, I fuckin' hate that yo.

It's like that one time my friend was robbing this convenience store, and some asshole pulled into the parking lot without using his blinker. Luckily, my friend only had to fire a couple warning shots at the cashier, causing minor injuries and totaling the slurpy machine.

hey, that wasnt nice to flame me like that. I never said my friend was right, I just told how the accident happened. They could have been going 65mph and still would have had that accident.

Paul, don't take it so personally.... he's just joking around.

#1 doesn't bother me too much... just makes me laugh.

#2 pisses me off. It's even funnier b/c I was just thinking about this the other day!! If someone comes out in front of me when no one's behind me and they go slow, I usually just pass them if the road is clear. I don't even slow down, one smooth move. However, since I'm usually travelling during rush hour, even the local roads aren't clear, so I usually don't brake until I'm about 2ft. away from their bumper.... then I slow down and fall back.

Being that there are soooo many stupid people on the road, I've calmed down a lot. I used to always get people back. If someone tailgated me, I slammed on my brakes, if someone cut me off I'd pass them and cut them off, etc.... now I just ignore them and cruise. It's not worth it. The only remaining thing that bothers me is your #2......

C'mon folks! Let it go!

It's going to kill you. All this anger.

You know it's there. We all know it's there. Bad drivers. The road is full of idiots and you will see them everyday.

I completely agree with all the gripes but you know what? It was the same f*cking way in 1985; and in 1992. And it's there today and it will be like that in 2005 and 2009.

I used to get so so mad my whole body would shake all over and my head would be spinning so badly I had to pull over because I couldn't see straight.

I remember.

But not anymore, I just let it go. There's nothing you can do and it's only going to kill you, the stress and the anger and the road rage is going to lead one day you making a stupid move to counter them and then you'll have to pay. They never pay for their stupidity everyday but the first time you screw up and ram someone for pulling out in front of you or chasing down a red light runner or slamming on the brakes of a tailgater.

Seriously, you gotta let this go.....it's just cars and traffic and honestly (the way I've thought of it), you really don't own the road even though you do have the right of way, you don't own it. If somebody takes it, you can't take it back from them. If somebody purposely blocks you, you can't ram them. If someone drives slow or fails to signal or turns left and takes you lane, no you don't take it lying down but you can't fight back aggressively.

I would literally have to take 30 minutes to calm down when I got to work before I could concentrate...than I said "this is stupid."

Sorry for the long speech. Let it go and extend your life.

Oh, sorry I forgot about the screaming at the top of lungs inside your car with the windows up. Screaming so loudly the whole intersection could hear you. I didn't realize how stupid this was until I saw this one guy next to me blow up; he almost went thru his roof; he was bouncing in his seat. It was the silliest thing I'd every seen. For what? A woman wouldn't turn left on a green light that was turning yellow then red (no arrow). She just sat there thru it all even though the line behind her was building up. This guy was probably going into his third red-light cycle.

Yes, and they accelerate so fast, they get pissed at you for going in front of them too close. I had that problem with an Altima last week. Dunno.

Look at it this way:

Have you even been in the passenger seat and witnessed the same bad drivers? Does it still make you just as mad?

I've been riding lately and I haven't even paid attention to any traffic much less get mad about it. So it's just the driver. Of course the bad driver is not aiming at the victim's car driver only and not it's passengers. So why is it that the driver can get mad and the passenger don't?

I think you kinda feel something (like hatred) at the anonymous bad driver because if it was one of your buddies cutting you off or closing the gap to prevent you from merging or whatever, you probably wouldn't get so upset. It's easier to get mad at a stranger.

I'm not trying to be all-knowing and saintly or whatever, but just trying to impart the message that the road rage and anger is so, so unnecessary and you can still live without it and continue to driver aggressively and offensive (which is good) but you good leave out the blood-pressure raising anger and you'll feel so much better. It only takes practice (but it might take a few years). Sorry again....
