Two kills: 04 Jetta GLI and 240 SX (both turbo)

First off ill say im not normally the type to street race and have a completely clean driving record. My car is a 2003 CLS 6MT, completely stock.

But tonight i was at the gas station and a guy pulls up in Volkswagen Jetta GLI, im guessing around 2004. As he pulls up he revs his engine so i can hear his turbo. We chat for a bit and he tells me its a stage 2 and has 18psi. As we leave we line up around 30 mph, im in 2nd and we both punch it and its pretty even. I get up to about 6700 rpm and i shift into 3rd, i start pulling on him and we run it up to about 80mph and he shuts it down.

So im on my way home and was feeling pretty proud that i beat a turbo'd car for the first time. Im cruisin on my way home and a car iv seen running around my town pulls up next to me. Its a 1990 240SX, he starts revin his engine as well to tell me he has a turbo. We both are going about 25 and im in 2nd gear again. We both floor it, he starts to pull on me slighty but as soon as i got up to 5000rpm or so i start creeping up nose to nose with him. I shift into 3rd and am still in vtec and i pull on this guy!

So tonight im feeling pretty confident about my CL! But.. that sound of the turbo makes me Comments welcomed.

Nice Kills. It feels good. This will give you the motivation to get the headers done. I have not installed headers on a CL but I have done my CRX, 2 hours or so you should throw them on.

Man I got killed by this 240 that lives by me getting on the freeway he was behind me. Boosting like crazy. Pulled past me as we got on. That thing had to be crazy mods.

For your 240 kill he must have had the Greddy Kit its pretty mild, my boy told it is comparable to a stock SR20 boost.

Nice Kills

Headers will be much, much harder to install on your CL then on a CRX. Believe me, this comes from experience with both, but it is a do-it-yourself if you have the correct tools.

Great kills by the way... makes me wish I got the 6 speed. I did enjoy beating on a manual WRX with my autotragic though. Needless to say he was surprised when I left him behind and even more surprised when he found out it was an auto.

Get the headers installed and get some more kills and report back!

man 240sx and a GLI did they have major mods IDK but my car cant keep up with my friends???? He has a K04 turbo, upgrade better chip, fuel injectors and straight pipe and beats me by about 2-3 car length?? I am almost fully upgraded also? I have CT H,P,E,and intake. I also have a thermo block spacer he runs at about 10psi now but for some reason he pulls pretty hard. But all I am going to say is good kill though.

this is reassuring because the drummer of one of my bands just got an '05 Jetta GLI for his 17th birthday and has been telling about how he wanted to race me with his "superior german engineered" car
now i'm pretty confident that i can take him
nice kills

Arsenic is like metal/hardcore stuff and yeah we do have some pretty sick breakdowns to get the kids moving/punching/throwing shit

and audiotheory is more pregressive-y dream theater/protest the hero kind of stuff

and i like to tell myself that just my general presence gets the chicks wet but i don't think it works hahaha

I had a few to drink last night at my girls parents house so she drove home. On the way home there was an 06 jetta lowered and with rims that kept trying to play. Finally, my girl asked "is this car fast?" (I have a CL-pee w/ cai and crank pulley) I said "why, you want to race don't you?" so I let her go (I did the shifting in the sport mode) and she did it, she outran him! I was proud.

ha, she liked it, I didnt think she had it in her. the jetta was trying to play for a good 5 mins before she asked me if he car was fasssst. He also got smoked by a G35 before he came to us...I suppose he was looking to boost his ego?

^ Yeah thats what i said... Our cars are heavier

Either way, Good kill!!
I hate yet for someone to take the bait with a boosted Jetta or something. There are a few around PSU berks but we are never on the road together. I either leave when they come in or vice versa...
