So I've searched far and wide...

What I'm looking for is to get CLEAR bulbs for the turn signals that light up amber. The stock ones that are coated amber look horrible in the 03 tails. And I don't want that gay ass hyper white turn signal shit (no offense to anyone). It's just not me. Anyway, the only thing I can find is the PIAA or Polarg bulbs that light up hyperwhite. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

It eludes me as to what bulb type you need for the rear turn signals, but you should be able to search for chrome amber coated bulbs to find one that is silver but blinks amber. It isn't clear, but its better than having an amber coated bulb in there..

Check out Sylvania or Osram. They make "silent" bulbs.

I have a pair of Osrams in my VW.

I have APC Titan bulbs, which I purchased at PepBoys for all turn signals (front and rear). They aren't as bright as the Sylvanias, but work pretty well (passed DC vehicle inspection with them).

If I recall, they were about $7 a pop, not bad... They are silver coated like the one you saw above in the link, but light amber. I have them in my '03 tails, and no "eggyoke" appearance.

I put the Sylvania SilverStars in my front turn signals. They light up orange but don't look it when they aren't lit.

This is what I have. Barely noticeable because it's silver, but lights up amber. perfect.

Does that cover the rear turn signal too on 03' Tails? Arent' they the 7440 style?

I got the Silverstars too,
OFF they look translucent multi-color, mostly silver, amber and blue,
ON they are amber.
I tried some cheapo all-silver coated ones, they were way too dim to see.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the reverse lights? it works for me.

Yes, I'm wanting the rear turn signal bulbs. 123456SPEED where did you pick up your bulbs? Did you have to order online or did you go to a Pepboys or something?? I would like to get them this weekend if possible. BTW, your CL is BA!! Nice color.

Last time I was at Pep Boys they had them in a separate display at the parts counter in the back of the store, your store may vary.
