Turbocharged CL - Next Generation

Turbocharged CL - Next Generation
We are getting close to the end of a 8-month project, so we thought of getting all the juicy details out on the Acura-CL.com forum.
Two of us (myself and bluecls6) have been doing a lot of research since last year into building the ultimate turbocharged kit for the CLS-6spd. We are assembling TWO 2003 6spds as follows:
Garrett GT35R (Ball-Bearing) Turbo
- Turbine: 0.82A/R, 68mm 84 Trim wheel
- Compressor: 0.70A/R, 82mm 56 Trim wheel
- Cost: $1400
Garrett High Efficienty Intercooler Core
- 8" x 16" x 3.5"
- Cost: $800
Tial/Garrett 38mm Wastegate
- 6.82psi spring
- Cost: $250 w/ flanges etc.
Tial/Garrett Blow-off Valve
- Cost: $250 w/ flanges etc.
Greddy E-Manage Engine Management System
- Cost: $500 w/ harness etc.
Comptech FPR
- Cost: $280
Techedge Wideband O2
- Cost: $350
RC Injectors (size TBD)
- Cost: $550
Walbro Fuel Pump
- Cost: $100
Electric Boost Guage (15psi)
- Cost: $185
Electric Fuel Pressure Guage (100psi)
- Cost: $210
Oil Feed/Return system (Earls)
- Cost: $150
Fuel Hoses/Fittings (Earls)
- Cost: $100
Intake Piping (2.5")
- Cost: $300 w/ clamps, couplers etc.
Turbo Manifold & Downpipe in Stainless Steel
- Cost: $1500
Misc Items (water-cooling etc.)
- Cost: $200
TOTAL: $6825.00 (Retail)
Goal is 400whp @ 6.5psi (or something close) very reliably and safely - nothing is being overlooked (as far as we know!). The kit should have the potential for 500whp @ 10psi - that is something that we'll attempt once everything is up and running.
Current Status:
Manifolds and IC end-tanks are being fabricated right now. We should have the E-manage wired in within the next two weeks (thanks to Scalbert). All other parts (except for the RC injectors) are in-house and we will hopefully have the cars running by mid-April for tuning.
Some pictures to wet the appetite:

Stay tuned...

Ah so it has been revealed! Yes it has been a long process, and quite a few custom parts. Should turn out pretty nice considering we've been taking our sweet-ass time and not letting cost get in the way. We waited until now because there is actually something to show for it... 8 months ago we would have basically been crying wolf. I guess I can start posting pics now

FMIC
p.s. The new TL has no room for a FMIC It's bumper has no opening...

From: Miami - just one day, I would like to drive without getting cut off!
Glad to hear that. Nothing quite like having options. I was disappointed you and your other partner didn't put the last kit into production. I'd be glad to take on 2nd job to get 500whp! Good luck!

Not yet... not for 400whp. We'll see how the motor handles 6.5psi and then go from there.
