Turbo Piping
Turbo Piping
Allmotor and BlueCLS6, i have a few questions, just out of curiousity, how did you come up with the design of your pipings? Did you use CAD or other 3D Programs. And would most muffler shops understand the CAD drawings presented to them? How much did the R&D run you.
Thanx

You just position, cut and weld! No CAD for that. It might have been better with CAD drawings etc. but the time it takes to draw out the front-end of the car would be ridiculous... the IC piping took a whole 1-hour to make!
While I use CAD on a daily basis (CATIA), like allmotor said we didn't use anything of the sort to make our piping. Each car was done individually. Our systems are slightly but definitely different. In other words the entire system could probably be swapped car to car but no single piece could be traded as they are all unique. There is really only limited space the piping could go, so there it went
The cost wasn't cheap because it is all stainless steel. IC piping is mild steel, aluminum costs a lot.
