trunk handle
trunk handle
silly thought .. but i hate getting finger prints on the back of the trunk lid while trying to close the trunk.
anyone considered installing one of those leather handles on the inside that you can use to pull the trunk shut (ofcourse you'd have to let go before it closed :p) or have any other ideas that might work?

From: where the weather suits my clothes
I just grab the plastic cover over the lock mechanism and pull the trunk lid down.
My trunk is heavily soundproofed (Cascade) so it pretty much comes down on its own.

On the inside of the trunk lid there is a spot to use as a handle. Take a look-see... it is pretty obvious once you see it.

I have NEVER touched the paint on either, and I always find a way to do this with any of my cars.
Especially when they’re dirty.
The late 2001 CL’s and newer are easier to do because they have that emergency trunk release to grab inside.
My early build 2001 didn’t have that.

i take a couple fingers and pull from the A badge down...since i have an early CLS, i don't have the black strip on the inside of the lid to use, and i don't pull from the locking unit b/c the whole unit's full of grease, and i'm too lazy to wipe it off heh
besides, it's such a small grip, i hurt my fingers squeezing too hard...pulling from the badges is much easier
