True? 13 sec CL!

Anyone know the guy that is in the Tampa area with a silver 2nd gen. CL that runs 13.7 I believe. Everyone around here makes that clear to me when they see I have a CL, that they know one faster then mine that is always at the tracks. I was told he works at the same mall as me but I have never seen it. I was told that he has a type-s head with a honda odysey block. Guess same concept has an LS-VTEC? Someone fill me in, I would like to meet the guy.

There is a guy on here in Florida that runs about those times in a Second Gen CL...but he has nitrous. I seriously doubt anyone with a CL-S is going to put an odessey block on there. There is also someone with a 3.5L CL-S that I think is in the 13's. That uses MDX rods amoungst other stuff for a larger stroke. I'm guessing he's the one you're thinking of.

You are referring to TYPE R. He had he 3.5L swap done by the same tech that swapped my tranny and if I recall it is a Honda Odessey Block. TYPE R, care to enlighten everyone.

Isn't the block for the MDX/Oddysey the same thing? They should be the same or at least virtually the same since I believe the MDX/Oddysey are built on the same platform.

The block itself actually isn't what you need to get the 3.5L upgrade either, I think the main thing you need is the rods. I recall TypeR saying earlier that you could stick with your J32A block and simply go with the MDX rods underneath.

Sounds like TypeR's times 13.7@101...but i thought his was white? Anyways, yeah there's also CLSMike and SFLWTypeS in FL that claim to be running 13.5's, yet their times are 6mph slower than Allmotor's 13.4@108 hmmm? I dont know, hopefully myself and Fastvteccl can bring our asses down there this summer and get a piece of these CL's in FL.....

the MDX is based off the Oddysey. Both are front wheel drive with transversly (i think that's the word) mounted engines. But the MDX can come with AWD of course.

I just wish someone would fess up and let me know that I am talking about them. I was told he works in Sears at the same mall I work at. That might narrow it down a tad.

it's me....i work at sears for now...home for lunch right now...also mine was done with the oddessey block and crank...rods and pistons are non stock for either...the MDX can and has been used as well as the j32a block by just bolting on a 3.5 crank and appropriate rods and pistons...

what time to you work man? I would love to see your car! Yeah mine is always parked out in nose bleeds. I work over at choice cellular. My car is a CL-P maybe you can give me some advice on what to throw on there. I have intake, headers, exaust, and pulleys (not installed yet though). I met a guy that would make me a custom turbo for $3500 with 8psi if I want. Dont know if I have the balls to go though with it though.
