Transmission Question for Scalbert

Scalbert,

Greetings! I just took delivery of a B&M trans cooler, and since you're the resident expert, I'd like to know which one of the lines on the transmission is the feed line to the trans cooler.

Thanks in advance!

Mint

Obviously very well answered by TypeSDragoon. Just let me know if anything isn't clear.

Guys,

Thanks for the info. Scalbert, I reviewed your previous posts regarding flow direction and have the following questions:

1. Were you able to confirm that the ATF flows from the ATF filter (front of trans) and drains into the ATF hose assy (back side of trans facing firewall)? In other words, confirming your original assumption that ATF is flowing from front to back?

2. In the pre-cooler install pics, which one is feed (to the cooler)?

Thanks again -

Mint

I never verified flow direction but I suspected front to rear flow. But due to the limited points of connection I found the flow direction to be irrelevant. The cooler doesn't care which is the inlet or the outlet.

The only real concern to me would be during the installation, does it flow through the filter after the cooler to catch any debris which might have been in the cooler or lines. I took that as a small risk and went ahead; drove thousands of miles with a more consistent shift quality.
