Transmission fluid question

I've been calling mechanics in my area to get price quotes for a transmission flush (I was planning to buy the Honda Z1 ATF myself). One shop I called told me that the oil he uses is Dextron 2 or 3 (depending on what your car needs) and it's what Honda uses except that Honda puts the oil in their own named bottle and charges $1 more. Anyone know if this is accurate?

BS.... Buy Honda Z1 only and do the tranny change yourself. It is as easy as changing the engine oil.

There i no way to do power fush for the tranny oil.

You have to do repetetive tranny oil change instead.

I have a question - is it a good idea to switch over to Redline tranny fluid when I get mine flushed? Would it hurt?

Yea but Comptech recommends Redline if you put in the supercharger due to higher stress on tranny.

My Dealer said he bought a special machine to do a power flush. He charges 150 or more but let me have one for free to smooth out my transmission. The oil is now pristene pink in appearance instead of brownish.

Yes that's at a modified or racing condition, they wont spec how many miles you will get out of your trans even with Redline.
