Well, yesterday was the first time I ever experienced transmission problems in my car. I have owned my car for about 7 thousand miles ago. The previous owner had the tranny replaced at 98k. Right now my car has 114k on it. Yesterday, I punched my car and it hit vtec and shifted okay. At the next traffic lights my lights came on such as the vsa the exclamtion mark, and the check engine light came on. I was like great not to mention it started to idle low. Now this has never happened to me before and I have the car for eight months. Long story short I went to work and parked the car for about five hous. I come out of work thinking the tranny is scrwed up.

Well, I get into the car and start drving, it starts to shift fine like it was did. My problems had gone away. I was like no way. I get into my car this morning, and everything is fine. Tranny is shifting good and all my lights are off now, and even my check engine light.

What could you think this could be. I am very confused and it almost seems like my tranny went from bad to good overnite.

Please let me know what you think it might be and have you experienced this before?

Even though the check engine light is off, the code is still stored in the computer. Take your car to Autozone and have them read the code for you for free.

 

Get the code checked. It may have nothing to do with the tranny. Likely a bad/dirty sensor.

Since your at 114K miles have you had the tune up done? Plugs & timing belt change?

 

any auto zone will check to see if you're throwin codes for free?

 

thanks for replying so far to everyone. Yes, I have changed my timing belt and water pump already along with plugs as well at 107k. Just really curious why my car did what it did yesterday and now today it is fine.
