tranny cooler

I was wondering with our weak trannys if it would prolong the life of them with a tranny cooler like comptechs or would it only be worth it with F/I engines. Any info would be great espesailly people with them. Thanks

there is a definite benefit to adding a tranny cooler. I know scalbert added one w/installation instructions. if you search the tranny forum I'm sure you'll come up w/some good advice.

wow man, are you on your 5th now? That is just wrong! I have 155,000 kms on my car and it's the original tranny still. however I feel it slipping 2-3 once in a while. brought it in to Acura couple weeks ago and they said everything was fine. So my buddy in another dealership is just going to put it through no questions asked. But now I'm afraid the replacement might go sooner than expected. Or did they maybe improve the design a bit over these years? When was the last time you changed yours?
