Tranny or AC

I hear a whining sound while accelerating. I turn the
AC off and I don't hear it. It is the Tranny or AC?

I had that same whine when accelerating and it turned out to be the bearings in my transmission. They changed the transmission in one day, and no more whine. Take your car in and go for a ride with a mechanic and point it out the noise to him.

It's your A/C. I hear the same exact thing once I get into heavy traffic with A/C on. When I turn it off, it's gone. The A/C compressor makes that whine. It's fine.

OK I just started to hear a whine comming from my pulleys (they are stock) sometimes when I start my car early in the morning. I've opened up my hood and it seems like it is coming from the top pulley. And no my AC is off. But once my engine fully warms up then the noise is gone. I just started doing it about a week ago and my driving style hasn't changed one bit since I got the car, in other words I bought the Type-S for a reason. And I have 37K on the car.
