Trading up?

I am very interested in looking for a 6spd CLS...but from what I hear they are too rare at this point. Gotta have navi too, I passed it up on my TL and now I regret it...never thought I'd use it, but I find myself in situations that I constantly am using it. Are there any recalls or problems I should be aware of like bad trannies or something? If I try to find one, I'm going to want to make sure everyting is cool. They are obviously very similar cars, but anybody here have both that could gice me some ups and downs to each? I really want a 6spd stick, navi, xenons, and I loved the comfort level of the Acura line. So it seems this is the only thing in my price range unless I happen to find a hot used NSX on ebay or something...any suggestions on how to approach this? Am I taking a step backwards by buying a CLS over a TL-P?

Yes, the CLS 6MTs are rare, but if you keep looking, you should be able to find one.

I had a white 6 speed no Navi for a year and sold it for a used anthracite 6 with Navi. It was on autotrader. I'd try there and look up dealer inventories on acura.com. you just need regional zip codes to check, depending on how far you wanna go. Also check newspaper classified ads online for your area/state newspapers.
6 speed Navis are rare (about 700?) but if you have some time you can find one. There were about 2700 6 speed CLS total. Seems about 1/4 of the 6 speeds were Navied. The VIN number ends in the production line number of your car out of 16,000 03 CLs produced, (inludes all CL(P)s and all CLSs). Mine is like 12000 or so out of 16,000.

Nope. About half of that was the TOTAL 6spd production

From: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125628

non 2691
navi 788
total 3479 for 2003 CLS 6spd production

Since Acura won't release these figures to us, this is the "unofficial" total
