Nice upgrade! Enjoy and be safe.

By the way, you must be doing pretty well at 19 to be getting an M3. Much props to you and I am certainly jealous!

Yup, so your car-less till August or did they hook you up with a loaner or something?

M3 will be easier to get tickets in.

oh shit, yeah my bad, that was me.

mine's doing great, i've had no problems at all with it. only thing i've noticed is a few minutes after i start up, sometimes i get a momentary loss of acceleration like a "hiccup" for a second or two, and then it's fine. other people on acl have said they have this too so maybe it's normal. i love this car though man, hoping i don't get the same tranny issues that you and alot of other people got.

i feel ya about the tickets, i drive this car way to fast, especially in you know the duluth area and how many speed traps there are. my only ticket i got was in my last car, but i'm guessing i'm going to get something in this one, it's unavoidable

just get a V1 or Passport 8500, but did you ask the dealer if they ever had to replace the tranny before you bought it??? I woudn't worry too much about the "hiccups" i had that happen also.

Well i hate to say it, but by the way it looks the BMW Dealer took you to the cleaners.

Here is why.

02 CLS with 53K no navi, in Clean condition, you should of got ALEAST 16K on trade

They took your CLS, but did not give you any kind of a loaner, or they could of said keep your car until Augest, if its in the same condition and within a 500miles of whats on it right now, we will offer you the same amount. After all its not your fault that they dont have a M3, and all your going to be spending the summer with no car, thats fuc'ed up.

What happens if the fail to deliver your M3 in Aug, and believe me delays do happen, go to the BWM forum and read all the nice stories there about Failed promises on delivery dates

I can only assume you paid sticker ( any discounts ??? )

And if you paid sticker with full options, you should of waited for a 05 M3 addition of two extra cylinders and a sleek new body for starters.

And if you really wanted a 04 M3, you could of gone to BMW of Ft.Lauderdale (one of the largest BMW dealers in the US) lets but it this way, you would be driving one now. After all your only in Atlanta.

almost no dealers do HEAVY discounts on m3s

the v8 m3 wont be out until 2006 late 2006 at the earliest. Even then they will probably using the new 7-speed smg, which I wouldn't want to get until after a year to work the major bugs out

ordering from germany means you get a pristine car in perfect condition with exactly the options that you want...even 10-20 miles on an m3 would probably be too much, given that you have to be really careful for the first 1200 miles. I'd rather wait a few months to get a perfect car, rather than get a questionable car now. Besides, the best part about getting a toy is the anticipation right before

Nice job on the car...i wont be able to afford it for another 3 years, but by then ill get the v8

Well first of all, my cls had a wreck and they knew that on because of the carfax, second the funniest part of this is...me having so many tickets lost my liscense back in March so I wont get it back until Sept. 3rd...so if I really wanted the car now I would have already got it....they can get cars from other dealers!!! so i'm not worried about it, thats why i ordered it and besides the CLS was just sitting in my driveway so I just gave it to them and took it off insurance which saves me money.

The current M3 has been out for long time, why not wait for the next generation? It would be far superior than the current one I assume. Did the dealer give you a significant discount?

i really didn't want to wait another 2 years...and if the next ones that great I'll just trade in my m3 and get the new one...Dealer Invoice was 56,xxx and i got it for 57,100 plus tax. I dont know if that great but MSRP was 59,645.
