Traded the CL-S in on a Type R

I had to, I'm paying $100 less a month for a car that will outperform the CL-S in every category outside of "doing it in comfort". Loved the CL-S, but I enjoy driving the Type R hard much more.

You crazy man, The type R is so old, like 3 years old. They are dying for a new design. Don't get me wrong, they are very nice cars on the track but for daily communte I'd take the Type S over the R anyday. Plus I can't live w/out my navi.

And I beat numerious stock Type-R's w/ my stock TypeS before. Unless the R driver can shift perfectly on everyshift it'll really be hard to beat a the Type S.

Pimp,
I went the other way around, Had a Type R for 7 months ,sold it and purchased the CL Type S. I wish I could have kept them both.

Pimpgold,
It's not just about style, it's about safety too. I would rather take a wreck in a Type-S over a Type R any day.

Who knowes, maybe Pimp's work is only a few miles away from home. Maybe he enjoy's that tight kart feel.

Here's the way I see it. If your the kind of person that sits in traffic (Like Me) for an hour and drives like 40 miles EACH way to work EACH day, then the Type-S is the best!

But, Hell, If my work was only a mile away (like it USED TO BE) Then I think I just might take the Type-R or a Prelude or Even an Integra!

Just bought a type R? Dude, what are you doing? The new Type R Integra is coming out and it will smoke the current Type R in every way.

no way, chill!
stop flaming him... i have a '00 ITR #1213 sitting in my garage... comptech intake, comptech headers.... it'll give you more of a rush than a CLS would ANYDAY! u can't compare the two cars. our cars are LUXURY CARS! u sit in it and STEER! my brother's ITR is a SPORTS CAR! u sit in it and DRIVE! hey, i'm proud to have my CLS, i don't envy the ITR at all. we HARDLY borrow each other's cars cuz we like each of our cars more than the other for different reasons. and yes, my brother's cars with those two mods WILL whip my car like no tommorrow. i like to go fast and speed and race.... but i dont have a race car. i have a fast luxo-cruiser, and thats about it. yeah i'd get intake, headers, sways, etc. but i know my category.... out

gotta agree w/ jayru...it's all about the commute...rather sit in leather luxury for an hour than a go-kart. now if my commute were under 5 miles...i woulda got a prelude or some other quick car...

besides...ITR are sweet...instant classics...much like the old school 91-94 sentra se-r's

Thanks for the support, guys, even the flames weren't bad. I'll still be checking this site, you guys are always interesting and informative, and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the CL-S. My commute is 8 miles, with no traffic, every quick trip is like a little personal race to see how quick I can get to work, I work for the police so I don't worry about tickets. In fact I got pulled over on my test drive in the R by one of my co-workers, it was hilarious. I did take this into consideration when I bought the car, and would hate to have this car if I were sitting in traffic for extended periods of time.. as someone said earlier, it'd be best to have BOTH cars! The other reason I got the R was because I started AutoX'ing this year, and I love it, I'm absolutely hooked, and I felt bad about beating up my CL-S every weekend and STILL getting my butt kicked by better suited cars. Anyway, hope this clears up any questions! Oh, and as far as the RSX goes, I'm really not interested in it, it's been awhile since I've seen any pics of it, but I remember thinking "what a nice looking Chevy Cavalier" when I saw it. I also have to admit that the semi-exclusivity of the Type R was something of a draw, too. Take care people, I'll still be posting, and I still have nothing but respect for the CL-S, and trust me, my girlfriend REALLY misses it!
