Traction

Anyone running slick? I want to get some but don't know where to start. What size tire is best? Where do you get them? Thanks for the help.

You want to run slicks, and don't know anything about them? I don't think so..

Slicks.. eh?

Well one of the issues with the CL-S is that you need to run at least 16" wheels or run a very wide set that clears the brakes. I don't think there are any CL's yet with that kind of power to warrant such slicks.

I run some drag radials which work if the track conditions are good.

If you have a 6spd... you will notice about a 1/4-second improvement in your E.T with slicks... although be prepared to replace your clutch shortly thereafter!

Any 8"-wide slicks that fits on a 16" rim might work. Try Mickey Thompson E/T Drag or even some Hoosiers.

Hey Allmotor_2000, I've been meaning to tell you that, you've got some sweet 1/4 mile times with just the N/A setup. Has anyone else come close with that time? N/A of course.

Btw bent09, I think you probably won't be needing slicks until you get some S/C with spray.. :P Just get better tires for now.

Where can i get a cheap set of 16's? Maybe CL-P?

I have heard everyone talking about 16's, but has anybody tried 15's? will that kind of setup work?
