Track Times Tonight: Second Time at the track
Gainesville Raceway 48 degrees 80% humidity
Had the tire pressure at 30F 40R Toyo T1S for my 3rd run it was gateshifting and...
60' 2.526 (brake torque to 2000) 1/8 mile 9.749 1/4 mile 14.904 96.49
Then on my fourth run I changed the pressure to 27-28F 40R and gateshifting
60' 2.272 (no brake torque) 1/8 9.559 1/4 mile 14.749 (best ever) trap speed 95.55
So why did I have such a lower trap speed on my last run, with my mods I feel like I should be at 14.4 range, do I have enough power, my best trap so far has been 96.49.

Hmmm, someone wound pretty tightly tonight?
With that said, I'd lower your FT to 28 and bump your rears to 38 or 40. Your trap mph may lower but your 60' times will benefit --> which will get your 1/4 times lower.

seattle thats what I did, my last run I bumped the front to 28 and back to 40, got a better 60 worse trap better time of 14.74, but thats awfully weak for headers and intake.

Damn what a prick...that comment brought your confidence down? My, you must have issues. Relax, it's only a race and the times can get better. There are much more important things in this world to bring your confidence down than your car that happened to run slow on that day.
Sheesh.

I gave you negative, cuz you gave me negative points, I dont give negative points on this board, but since you fed them to me, I had to do the same, you seemed to be the one who was angry about me calling you an asshole since you gave me negative points, oh well its all good.

What are you talking about? I didn't give you any negative points and actually don't even know HOW to give them! I just saw them show up on my CP!

It's your launching & inexperience at the track. I have the same problem. I've only been 3 times. My best is a crappy 14.6 with my 6 speed.
I'd try other ways of launching. Like leaving it in D4. Or using SS. See what works best for your car. Cause each car & driver are different. What works for one person my not for another.

Okay, I feel compelled.
1.) Launch while torqe braking at ~2,000 rpm. (if you have wheelspin / hop just adjust to 1,500 and so on.
2.) Gate shift as close to redline as possible without hitting the limiter.
3.) Keep tire pressure at normal levels, doesn't make a difference really in the auto, I had ~30-32psi in all 4 tires.
4.) Use the mid-grade racing fuel 106 (I think) with less than 1/8 tank.
5.) Remove the spare tire, jack, and any other crap you have in car.
You should now run 14.2-14.3 @96-97 mph.
Good luck and lay off the caffiene!
