Track Day: Best trap speed thus far
First off, today sucked at the track. I got there at 10am (when it opened), didn't get to run till 10:55, then sat there watching until 2:30 and decided to just go home
From the time they started racing till the time I left there were 20 oil downs on the track, 20!!!! No offense to anyone out there, but those POS 60's and 70's muscle cars can't even make it 1/4 mile without blowing something up.
Anyways...
It was 65 degrees out when I ran.
60' = 2.20 (I spun a little, I was hoping for a 2.10 like usual)
ET = 14.2
MPH = 100.68 (Best ever, up from 99.9 two weeks ago)
If I would have gotten maybe two more runs in I could have worked on the launch and ran 14.0 or better. Never going back to that track again, ever

I hear you. I drove two hours on Friday to get to the track (hit some traffic on top of the usual 1:15 it would take me to get there on a good day!
haha, my wife doesn't realize I'm drunk!

Possible, but I this was the first time I had run in sub 70 degree weather since like April... and I've added more mods since April. I really think the weather helped me out alot.
Pissed I didn't get another run! Maybe I'll see what I can do this weekend if I go. I'm not gonna go to the track again until I get the S/C, unless the weather is around 60 with low humidity.
Thanks guys

Admission there is $20
Send me a PM on Thursday if you remember and i'll let you know if I am going. I already know what my car will run in 75+ degree weather (14.1 @99) If it is colder (think 65 or less) I'll go. Otherwise it is a waste of $$ for me.

Oh I forgot to mention, on that 100+mph pass I hit the rev limiter on the 2->3 shift. It was just one quick hit right as it shifted, but it wasn't a perfect shift. Could I have hit 101? :driving: I'm gonna have to find out
