Touareg anyone???

Saw one at the VW dealer....this will be my next ride! Much better looking in person than the Cayenne IMHO.

I saw a black Turbo Cayenne in Orlando Wednesday night. It had all the chrome trim around the windows, etc. and HUGE 20" wheels...
After seeing it in person, and in black, I love the Porsche...

I like it, but I wish it was lower and had 2-Doors.

I like the new ads in the car magazines.
If you haven’t seen them they show a Jetta stuck trying to cross a stream while the Touareg crosses safely through ONE AND A HALF FEET of water.

No bypass valve required for THAT sucker.

V6 Touareg is $35K range, V8 is like $41K range.

Nice SUV, but frankly $41,000 and Volkswagen sound like an oxymoron to me. My own thing, I know.

And I've seen a few of the Porsche Cayenne in person riding around my area. They look much nicer in person then in pictures...but (again) $96K for an SUV! Talk about small-penis-makeup syndrome

And the most “off road” action 98% of them will ever see is when the wife cuts the driveway too short and runs through the flower bed.

Yes, I didn't put that in my post but I had the same thought. The interior is really nice -- top quality leather and all the goodies. Imagine hauling some old greasy lawn mower in that thing. No Way. I'd go rent a truck before I'd get my Porsche soiled!

Inside: very nice. Outside: Cayenne looks better in my opinion.

Smaller, heavier, taller than a Passat Wagon.

What's the point? You must REALLY REALLY want the off-road capability.

The next Passat (2005) would a killer very nice a I read in Automobile Mag.

I will have a Turbo Charged V6 3.2L and R32 edition will have low-end-torque with 300 HP!

Last I read, the final decison on bringing the 400 something ft/lb diesel V10 stateside hadn't been made. Local VW dealer had no idea either.

Centainly hope it does.

No offense but the H2 will go through about 3-4ft of water and only cost like 8-9 thousand more....
