Hey guys, raced a WRX (old body style) last nite. went at it twice from about 80-120... first time.. rite at vtec in 3rd gear we gun it.. i could hear his turbo going.. sounded kinda weird actually like a boat motor or something.. not used to turbos anyways. but i got about a 1/2 car length lead on him and over 1 full car easily by the end. 2nd time he got the jump on me and had a 1/2 car on me.. i slowly startin inchin up but then had to shut it down. overall good run. gave the thumps up afterwards.. havent done that in awhile so it was fun. makes me love my TL (generally considered more luxury than sport) all over again.

 

Good stuff, makes me wonder if he was stock. I am guessing he had a few light mods done.

When I had my all-motor CRX (13.7 @ 102mph), I ran a stock WRX on the highway and left him in the dust like he was standing still. 5 times in a row from 60-120. He'd get me off the line pretty good though!

 

their cars are designed for the launch. rollling start, they're not much... except for the STI's of course

still rather have an NSX over an STi though

 

Who wouldnt??
