TL Type S Mirrors for Your CL Type S

For those of you that have complained in the past about the size of the CL Type S side view mirrors, there is a possible soultion. I THINK that the new TL type S mirror assembly, which contains a significantly smaller and more streamlined mirror, will fit on the CL Type S. I measured both and the triangular assemblies which fit into the area at the front of the door have the same measurements. The triangular area on the TL is color coded and the one on the CL is Black and the CL mirrors have Black bottoms while the TL mirrors are all one color. Also only the black or silver ones could be switched without being painted. Other than those few considerations, those of you that are as anal as me might want to consider the switch. The killer might be the cost of two replacement mirrors.

Welp, color shouldnt be a problem...

Cuz when you buy the mirrors... you will have to get them painted anyway.

Usually they come as just black plastic.

if i'am not mistaken the mirrors come pre-paint from the factory. i had a honda v6 coupe and had to replace one of the mirrors and it was all ready painted.

Porche does it that way. My boss had to replace the mirror.
Glass was 80.00
Housing unit was well over 300
AND WAS NOT PAINTED. You can have those expensive cars ! She ended up paying over $1100.00 dollars to replace it on her 911 Targa and that was over 8 years ago !

Wow This is most likly VERY ACCURATE.

2 years ago I used to install car sterios and we had a f-355 spyder (ferrari) in the shop getting one of those 360 degree $1,000 radars installed in it (with rear/front bumper mounted sensors)

anyways, I had to drill a hole to run the rear bumper sensor wire. Needless to say, I hit the damm gas tank(which was located directly behind the drivers seat ON THE REAR FIREWALL!!!! anyways, the gasstank was $9,500!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I got fired! But the damm install manager told me to drill the hole there!

Oh well. I STILL laugh about it to this day. Hahahaha
