TL-P transmission into CL-S???

I know this subject has been beaten like a dead horse. A horse who came back to life and then died again, was beaten, reborn, killed and rebeaten, but I need to know if this can be done? I've attempted a search for this in several querys but I just can't get a simple straight forward answer. I'm looking at potentially just swapping a transmission into my CL-S just to get it up and running so that I can part ways with it. I considered doing the Accord swap, but that would cost me an additional 600-700 bucks. No thank you! It's been a great car, but it's time to just part ways. Thank you guys so much!

I think it's the same transmission, meaning it should work.

As long as the donor TL-P is a 2000-2003, then yes. Unlike their successors, 2G Premium and S models don't run structurally different engines. I don't even think there's any hardware or software differences between them.

That said, a $700 difference? Surely that's the procurement difference between the 3G Accord and TL-P transmission. The switch swap is nothing, and while I know you're just looking to get out of the car at this point, staying with the 2G transmission leaves you open to the possibility of switching one bum unit for another.

As long as it's not a 99 tl, you should be fine. You'll have to cap a couple PS lines though.
