TL Front conversion?

I know it is possible to do anything if i have the mula. But ideally can I just change TL headlight, bumper, fender, and hood? or do they not fit at all, because i figure TL and CL have same platform... Yet i do not know if fenders fit the same.

All these are Just random thought

it's doable, not direct fit though. if yoi're that interested, bring it to a shop and ask how hard it might be.

ive also wondered the same thing...

I havent lined them up for comparison but ive always liked how the TL front end doesnt point as much as the CL. The hood is nicer looking (theres one too many contours on the CL hood). All in all the CL is just toooo pointy.

The rear is a whole different story, but i also like the TL rear end better.

But the TL isnt a coupe and it isnt 6-speed - so i had to give up a little but i would love to change the front end, the rear i imagine would be more difficult.

I think he only did the TL lip kit, what I am referring is changing the whole CL front. As you all know, TL's headlight is slightly different from the CL, it has an extra curve instead of flat bottom.

he did the entire bumper. also, like someone upp said. the CL is wider than the CL. soo, thats kinda hard for the hood and fenders to fit and to make it look good

HOWEVER guys, I think ironsurfer wants to have a TL-S bumper from say '03 .. the thread linked above is a TL-P bumper.

The curve he describes is on the bottom of the TL-S headlights, compared to what this guy did. He also said he wanted the headlights and hood changed. Person in the link didn't look like he changed his CL-S headlights or grill ..

the tl bumper and CL bumper are not that different. IMO, the CL fogs make the whole car look like it's "smiling" if it didn't curve up so much it'll look way better. compare the original bumpers side by side and you'll see what i'm getting.

i like the CL headlights better than the TL, i like the cl end better than the tl also.

but i'd be interested in the TL bumper also... =P

TLS/TLP bumpers are not different i believe. what he did was use the top half of a CL bumper and the bottom half of a TL bumper. they are both cut in half, and then pieced together. AKA shitloads of work. the end product is very clean though.
