I stripped the thread inside the caliper bracket so the top bolt doesn't hold well anymore. I need the caliper bracket for the 01 CLS. I was wondering...

I found a scrap yard that has one that came from a 99 TL however I was doing the search for 01 3.2CL (at www.car-part.com) nd that kinda makes me think that they would be the same calipers if the search shows them.

I need to know if the calipers are the same on 1999-2003 TL and TLS as on 01-03 CL and CLS?

 

they should be. just curious to know how you stripped the threads? over tightening or cross threading?

 

the big ass wrench I used had a lot of leverage to it and I didn't realize that at the moment and went too far. so over tightening would the answer.

 

dealer confirmed that they're the same, just in case anybody else is wondering
