Tinting Side Windows...

Well I had my rear windows tinted last week and it turned out pretty good except for one small flaw that is somewhat noticeable. So instead of them pulling it off and risking damaging stuff or making it worse I am having the side windows tinted at 1/2-off. My rears are 20%, what do you think I should do on the fronts... 35% or 50%. Keep in mind I am in CA where it is illegal if it is obvious. I think I may do 35% because it doesn't look very dark, saw them doing a truck this morning. Any thoughts here? Thanks.

dude...why would you let them do anymore work if they allready messed up...you don't want mesed up side windows even if its for free. I would make them re-do the back until they fix it right and rthen go somewhere else for the sides. There really isn't anything for them to damage by taking it off...

I just got mine tinted yesterday....

20% on back window
20% on Rear side triangle windows
35% on door windows

Came out great. Here in NJ, you aren't supposed to tint the driver or passenger window either, but since the back ones are much darker, it isn't as noticeable. The police here usually don't give people a hard time about tinting unless it is totally dark all the way around, although the inspection stations do. But since my car isn't due up for inspection until June 2007 (yes, 4 year inspections on new cars now in NJ!), I don't think I will have to worry about it.

I will post some photos tonight.

Also, I agree with Ant.....if they screwed up, don't just let them screw up more....make them fix their mistake....if they refuse, then hopefully you paid with a credit card, and you can dispute the charge with your credit card. Don't settle for a screwup that will be noticeable.
