I am thinking about tinting my windows. Those of you who have tinted your windows, how much did you pay? I obviously don't want a cheap job that's going to fade or bubble, so I'm curious about what a decent job done right would cost.. Thanks!

 

depends on what you get.....cost between 60 to 150.

i got 0% limo tints and it cost me 60 bucks. But i got caught last night and it happened at night. the story is in my other thread "DAMN COP!!!"

 

$129.99 will get you sides and rear window at National Glass Tinting in Kensington, MD. Lifetime warranty too.

 

Cost depends on brand and type.

Average cost for Lumar (one of the better quality ones IMHO) is around $150. This usually includes lifetime warranty of defects/etc. and depending on the installer usually on installation also.

Lumar Platnium (Silver Metallic Tint) or similar are going to run higher usually around $200+.

It will also depend on what windows you get tinted, if you get your sunroof tinted which someguys have done that usually adds a little on around $25 bucks or so.

Also depends on how the tinter does the back window, some charge more if you want them to go over the dots and or go behind the third brake light (if you have a spoiler).

I've also talked to a couple of tint shops that wanted to charge extra if you had them do the back window in a single sheet instead of two butted up together. A single sheet is preferable but harder to do.

This is just some info I've found out from calling local shops and comparing notes, hope this help some.

$170 here in NY.... price also depends on location. If I was in Brooklyn or Yonkers, it would be cheaper, but upstate it's a little more $$. It also seems that Florida and Cali have the lowest prices.....

 

I paid $170 for the sides and rear (on a sedan) with Llumar Platinum Plus (lifetime warranty) tint.

The shop that installed it does ALL of the Honda Dealership tint installs and was recommended to me by the dealership as well as several other people I asked here in town.

 

$125 for Llumar platinum. With a single piece in the back.
