Tinting Amber corner?

So i'm plannin on painting my headlights this weekend and i just came across a random idea about my corner. I was going to just take it and leave it as is, but what do you guys think about me spray tinting it to make it darker to somewhat blend into the housing but still have it opaque.

I'd defintely go ahead and do this but then i thought about the ability for other drivers to actually see that i'm using my turn signal and such.

What are you about this idea? I would rather go ahead and do this then just take it since i think it looks kinda weird.

BTW, i did search

im not sure but i believe that there was a guy here that had clears and he black housed those... but spray tinting may be an alternative to those that are lazy like myself

I think you'll lose the light output from the lens and god forbid you get in an accident, the insurance company might be on your ass.

My thought is never mess with brake lights or blinkers.

I disagree. I painted/tinted the headlights and light output was just fine. I really didn't lose much of anything. I painted the entire housing insert anthracite and I tinded the amber diffusers with a static-stick tint. It worked perfectly and IMHO, it looks sick.

Here's some decent pics of my late CL that shows what I did... (ROCKSTAR owns it now)

And to show the difference between mine and a stock CL's lights... 3rd from the left.

Here's the original thread where I posted the first pics of it... https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179338

If I ever get another CL, I'll do it again exactly the same. It looks stealthy.

EDIT: Here's another up-close shot...

I can understand about what you guys are sayin about the insurance compnay and decrease of light output but i'm certainly not going to tint it that dark. I'm just gonna play around with it and as the last picture that LordH posted, looks hawt. I always felt that it was just way too open and something was missing by just takin out the diffuser, so i'm gonna go ahead and do it as long as i can pick up some spray tint by the end of teh week.

My car should look exactly like that last pic. minus the wheels and i might go and paint the chrome grill part and tint the driving lamps. I'll post pics if any are interested once i'm done, hopefully by this sunday evening.

Right, but i'm worried abut that thing going back in the oven during the resealing process, i'm even a bit concern of the spray. IDK, we'll see.

The oven temps won't hurt it if you follow the right directions.... Read the thread I linked above...
