Tinted Tail Lights

I tinted the tails on my 97 CL. I used tinting spray a bought at a hobbie shop. The thing was i did this from the outside, because it was to complicated to open up the light it self.

It looks great, because my tails are tinted, my liceance plate cover, and rear window. So its a nice look.

The problem is if you look closely with in a foot, you can see "alligator skin", its not to smooth.

Can I solve this by using clear coat or do i need somethign else.

depends on what type of paint is in the tint spray... or is it even tint?

part of the problem is your using a spray on a smooth, non-porous surface.

I tried to "sand" it a little bit. By that i ment i used a hard brush. I didn't have any sand paper

Would the clear coat help in doing anything.
