Tint Shops in So Cali
Can anyone in Southern Cali (Orange County) recommend a good tint shop? I'm planning to finally get my windows tinted, but don't know of any reputable places. Also, what is a good %? What hue of tint do you guys think looks good on the silver?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I got mine done at Desi's Solar in Rancho Santa Margarita. They charged me $185 to tint five windows including over the third brake light. I got 20% on the back and 30% on the four side windows. Also, I had them paint over the "dot matrix" rather than tint.
I have some pics at this site or click on the link in my sig.
Also, here is a pic to give you a start.

Thanks SidVicious.
What do they use to paint over the "dot matrix" part of the rear window? Is the paint translucent? Do you have any up-close pictures of this?
Also, what's the reason for putting a different % tint on the rear window?
Thanks again.

They used regualr paint so I can't see through that part of the rear window anymore, but when looking through the rear-view mirror, I can barely see the painted area. It looks clean.
As far as the different tints, I wanted to go dark but not so much that I would be hassled by cops. So I wanted to still bew seen through the front windows and didn't really care about the back. They guys at the tint place recommended that I do the same on the front and back sides and darker or the same on the rear window. It really is a matter of preference.
I don't have close ups right now, but I can take some when I get home later tonight. I'll post them later if I get a chance.

i got mine done at ProTint in Temple City, CA. they did an excellent job... charged me only $135 for 5 windows. it's actually a $165 job but they fucked up on my appointment so they gave me a discount
*EDIT*
oh what the hell... they painted the dot matrix on your car? ProTint used some kinda solution to keep the tint from bubbling on my dot matrix part... the charge was $30 extra (that's why it was $165) but they gave it to me for free
