Not sure how far away it is from you but my step-dad is in central FL and he takes all of his cars to some guy at some big ass flea market down there. I guess the guy is 1.) Always there on the weekends. 2.) Real cheap, as in, does it for like $40-$50! 3.) Does a great job (I can vouch for that, I've seen his work.). And 4.) He'll do it as dark as you want.

You might look up flea markets in the Kissimmee/St. Cloud/Orlando area. I'd look for the biggest one. If you are more interested, I can find out more next time I talk to him.

I don't think he'll want to drive that far. That's like a 2 hour drive each way from WPB.

I can also recommend Tint World - 561-395-0777 Spanish river blvd in east Boca

I called them up, only problem is I can't make their hours until the weekend.

That other place you told me about in your PM, they said they couldn't do behind the break light because the light would melt the metal in the film. Does that sound right, cuz it doesn't to me?

A guy in the swap shop down here said he could do it, lifetime garauntee , using lumar tint, all for $80 (I didn't ask him about the break light though) which is much less than any other quote I got. Not that you would know chirskh, but I wonder if there are any good flea market/swap shop tinters down this side

Yeah, I have no idea. I haven't lived in FL for like 10 yrs and I don't visit that often. When I do, I don't get around a whole lot. Sorry!

I'm not sure. Do you have a spolier? That's the only way I would tint the brake light. You wouldn't have a bulb in there anyway. I never had the brake light tinted.
You might have some legal problems if you tint over the brake light & don't have a spolier with a brake light.

Is $150-$200 about how much y'all paid? I could go the swap shop route and do it for $80, but of course I'm a bit skeptical

Yeah that's about right. It's gone up over the last few years for some reason.
Personally, I would trust anyone from the swap shop.

You would or you wouldn't? Normally I wouldn't either, but that place that chriskh's father uses has me at least considering it. If anyone has had a good experience with one of them down here in South Florida, it might be worth a shot.

By the way, did that tint shop in Boca do behind your brake light?
