To tint or not to tint??!?!

I've been wanting to tint my car for awhile now, but a few reasons not to do it:

1. Illegal, may be pulled over more with my Z...
2.I like how my seats look from the outside....

darkest tint would be 35%

what would you do?

Definitely TINT it! I'm sure a lot of people have been in the same situation, as far as not being too sure about tints, but I for one haven't regretted it.

And don't settle for 35. If you're going to do it, do it right and get 20%

Synth - Check your PM.

In Indiana, it's legal to have 30% ATWO, where was in IL, you can do the front windows.

Hmmm... I dunno. I see so many people driving around in IL with tint. I have heard stories about people getting harrassed. If it was on the light side, say 35%, you probably could get away with it. Just try not to draw attention to yourself.

So far, I'm not tinting my car. I do like the look of darker windows, but I don't like the look in a few years. My last car looked great for about 5 - 7 years, but then as the material aged it peeled, bubbled, and faded to an icky purple. I don't recall exactly, but I think it was a 3M film that was used.

...and frankly, I don't mind the untinted look. The car looks nice and clean without it too.

Tint does keep the car a bit cooler though.

If I'd do it again, I'd go for this Huper Optik that Scrib's been researching.

Ya got to tint it. I've got 20% on the back and 35% on the sides and thats more then enough especially at night. With 35% on the sides you'll still be able to see your seats from the outside. Since you have the orange color interior it will be even easier to see.

see in some pics, some look tinted, others look not tinted< I actually like in certain lights, it looks barely visable........ Find out if we can get a discount if we both get tints..I may consider it!

LOOKS TINTED:

The second pic definitely doesn't have tint. I can tell you that. They also have 40% and even higher, if you'd like to go lighter. I'll email and see if I can get a discount. Probably won't hear back until early next week I'd guess with the weekend just around the corner.

I'll keep you posted.
