I Live in Central NJ.. Monmouth County the cops aren't great around here so i wanna go with a 55% tint all around do you guys think i should be alright?? I was given a quote for $150 (good or not)??

Also if anyone has any CLS pics with 55% tint i would love to see them thanx??

I don’t think 55% is really worth the trouble to install. It won’t even look tinted.
Go with 35% and the cops usually won’t hassle you because you can still see into the car.

just stay out of marlboro, manalapan, holmdel, hazlet, keyport, matawan, middletown and you should be good.

 

I live in Central NJ, and I've only been bothered once when in North NJ. I have 35% all the way. Nice smoke look but not dark enough that you can't see in it.

The guy I went to is in Eatontown. He did an awesome job.

 

i had 50% all around

matawan - 2 times pulled over just for tint

middletown - 1 speeding 1 tint 1 not using my signals

holmdel - 1230 at night...tint ticket

marlboro - rt 9...pulled over for air freshner hangin on rear view mirror...had warrant out for not paying tint ticket...arrested. before that 2 tint tickets

i know there is more...thats just monmouth county...

 

Slooo97CL that really sucks ass, I was pulled over by a Marlboro cop the other day for expired plates. He didn't bother me a bit about the Tint. Marlboro are some of the toughest cops out there. The only other place that will bother you for stupid things is SeaSide and Point Pleasant Cops.

I think that is just an unfortunate accident. You can always get mirror tint, it's not difficult to see in while the car is still, but while driving it's hard to see it. It can really accent your wheels if you have a nice pair.

The law in NJ was that you can not attach anything to the front driver or passenger windows or windshield. This was ~10 years ago, I am not sure if that law has changed (ezpass and all). But I could not pass inspection with tint. You might want to check on that.

 

its most def illegal...had my car inspected in dec 02...had to take the tint off the front...now im straight to drive anywhere

 

I got pulled over the other day in Toms River the cop let me go though... But I have 25% on the back 3 on 35% on the sides. I got it done in Lakewood at Auto Accents they did an awesome job especially on the back window (by the dots)

 

stay away from ultimate audio on 35 in keyport unless you want bubbles in the back winder

5% mirror tint in the back and on the sides, 15 on the front of my tls, cops wont get pissed as long as they can see ure face in the day. at night hmmm its a toss up i gpot pulled over for underbody neons on the other day, cop let me go after i convinced him it wasnt 5% on the fronts, all i have to say is it depends on the cop, also idk how far away the sommerville circls is for you, but for tint, the BEST place in nj is AUTOIMAGE, they do a wonderful job and do alot of high end cars in this area for tints and they do it right
