Time to change my signature… Xephyr CAI

I have an extra 10HP under the hood thanks to Chris at Xephyr Performance who expertly installed my new CAI at the NJ MEET this afternoon.
He also installed one for Acuraman (Pete), Eclipse23 (Ernie) & YuppieCL (Moses).

Eclipse and I had a blast driving south on RT-287 after the MEET.
We were passing each other and everything else on the road at speeds approaching 90MPH.

BTW……Eclipse, it sounds as great from outside as it does from the cockpit.

VAROOOOOOOOOMMM BABY !!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Chris,
Shawn S

Four witnesses, no whooshing sound. Not saying you are a liar but maybe something is wrong with your installation. We installed 4 yesterday and no sound whatsoever.

No ZAINO yet, maybe this weekend.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Figured you'd go for the red Shawn. </font>
I was originally going to get the RED, but it was too Orange and didn’t quite match the car.

Chris installed (4) of the units in about 3 1/2 hours.
Mine was done from scratch and the other three were “prepped” by the owners after watching my install.

No “whooshing” sound is present on my car.
The thing is pretty much audibly invisible until your foot hits the floor.
Then you DEFINITELY know it is there.

The only thing I hear is the vacuum break when the engine is shut off.
Just a quick HISS that only lasts a second or two.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">have u unplugged your battery yet?</font>
I didn’t disconnect the battery yet.
I had to behave today because I was driving around with the wife all afternoon.
I don’t want the CPU to adjust to THAT type of driving.

Is the Xephyr's air filter the type that needs to be cleaned and oiled, or is it a two part paper filter that you change every so often?

No, every 30,000 miles he recommends this fluid you soak the cone in. other than that, nothing/.
