Tie bar made by Cusco, anyone use it?

So my buddy told me about a tie bar and what it does for ur car and I am HIGHLY considering it. I love chassis upgrades and suspension.

I would try one of those out.
It says it will help in all ways that we need.
Including traction.
I could use some as much as the next guy.

I plan on getting this later on. It seems like the stock from Japan has been backordered for awhile not sure how long it will take now. You also have to consider the lower clearance from this bar and where you drive. I think with the crappy roads around me it might be an issue. Would be hard to notice a difference just from this bar alone, it should be more of a culmitive effect with everything combined.

With Comptech springs the lower bar was capable of getting me pulled out of line at my
local car wash..... It's that low.

I hate those type of carwashes, I know of a recent incident where someone pulled in and at the end they couldn't figure out how to get the car in gear which caused the 2 cars behind him to hit each other. He was trying to select the gear on the auto gearbox but didnt realize you need to have foot on the brake to do so. He drove off without a worry whereas the 2 cars behind him got screwed for his messup.

how did you order a polished one they stopped making those 2 years ago? i saw 2 sites that had it listed as polished but when i emailed them they both said they only have black.

http://www.racingworks.com/neuspeed_...trut_brace.htm

is where I ordered it from...

BETTER BE polished or I'm not gonna be too happy. But W/E it is what it is.

If It's not polished I may paint it a different color, so either way I'm good.. I'm versatile

I am sorry to inform you but that is one of the sites I contacted. They do not have anymore polished it will be the black one. http://www.heeltoeauto.com/product.php?productid=53087 this is the brace where you can buy from. I would contact them and ask on how long it will take to get tho.

that one pivots tho slightly due to the fact it's not all one piece, and it's alot more money. I don't like that design, I want neuspeed strut bar because it is a solid bar, so it cannot flex. It's ok if it's black.. I will paint it red and leave some black, I already know how I wanna do it. Either way it's going to make the engine bay look sweet and stiffen the whole chassis up.

that link should be the underbody brace, not the strut bar in the engine bay.

gotcha... that's the front lower tie bar that got my starting this thread.

From the general consensus it seems like that bar will do more harm than good... with clearance issues and what not.

You never know until it's too late and actually bottom out. If I get it, it's on the end of my list

I was looking at this Cusco bar, but like others have said it sits real low. I liked the idea though so I made one up out of channel iron two bolts, two nuts, two flat washers and two lock washers. It sits maybe 3/4" lower than the exhaust pipe.
And no I don't have pics, but if one were to look under the car suitable mounting places present themselves, then it is just a matter of measuring, bending the length of channel iron to clear the exhaust pipe, drilling iron and mounting places and then bolting it up. I did paint mine to prevent rust.

It did help tighten up the steering feel making turn-in a bit more immediate and it has never scraped even once.
