"page not found" --fix the link so it doesn't have the "..." in it
but, if its from the engine it could be knock or sound from the fuel injectors

Normal Acura valve tick noise. All 3 of my CL's did it to some degree. A valve adjustment may help with it but that's like $600-$800.

The purge solenoid would also cause a clicking sound near the drivers side by the firewall. 50 bucks, install it yourself. Very common with the 3.2.

I have a ticking noise too. I noticed it got a little louder in the month I've had my car and I thought it must be leaking oil or something but I got it changed and it didn't decrease the ticking at all. It sounds like lifters, right? Anyways, will it hurt anything to leave it?

how do you guys adjust valves without going to the mechanic? is it any easy procedure or not really?

well, i still didn't change my purge solenoid valve but i noticed it started ticking a lot louder now, maybe cuz of the cold weather? planning to change it next week, see if its gonna help or not....

If you have a manual or know what your doinf with tools its not too hard. You have to take the upper im off and take the valve covers off to get to them. Then its a matter of turning the crank to a certain position and adjusting from there (there is a lil more to it than that though)

I'm not familiar with your specific engine but if it's like every other Honda VTEC engine I've had my hands on, there's a thing called a "Lost Motion Assembly". Essentially it's a spring that keeps the center common (high lift) rocker against the cam when the VTEC is not engaged. When the VTEC is engaged the center rocker is physically connected to the other rockers so the pressure from the valves and their springs keeps the rocker up against the cam. When it's not engaged, the rocker can flop around freely. The lost motion assembly, which is built into the top part of the cam retainer, just keeps pressure on the center rocker so it stays against the cam and doesn't make a bunch of racket.

After about 50,000 miles the springs start getting progressively weaker and the engine starts getting clattery. For my Civic which only had VTEC on the intake cam, it was something like $40 for new springs. That and valve adjustment made the engine purr with a lot less chatter. It's probably kind of pain to do on the rear cylinder bank of your cars, but I don't have any experience there.
