I think I found what is making so much racket! Changed the oil today and put in Mobil 1... Immediately noticed a difference in the engines output of sound, but after probing a little further... I found this little bugger which I am certain is making all the noise. As tough as it is to pinpoint the noises on an engine this lil sucker is ticking away like crazy. When I touch it you can even feel it going crazy... Sounds like a bad relay almost.

Anyone know what this thing is? I know someone was saying some sort of purge valve or solenoid could cause the engine noise. Is this it? Right side of engine bay right below what looks to be the brake booster.

my car has the same ticking..its so damn annoying.. buti heard if u change it.. its just gonna happen again =/ thats why i didnt bother changing it
