Throttle Wire...can anyone explain this???

Throttle Wire...can anyone explain this???

anyone explain y the gold tab next to the throttle wire moves about half an inch???

i belive that wire is for the cruse control. i don't think it will make a difference.

I thought the front one was for the Cruise Control, I spoke to my dad and he said it's normal has nothing to do with acceleration or anything, The only thing it would effect is pressure you had to put on the gas pedal, But if its nothing drastic your fine.

yeah, front is cruise control rear is gas. its supposed to move 10-12 mm's

You are suppose to have slack in the throttle and cruise control cables. Look in the service manual and it tells you to have 10~12mm of slack as mr. tl said. If you adjust it too tight, the cable will pull on the throttle plate even though you are not pressing on the gas. This results in high idle and a potentially dangerous situation when you are in gear. It might lunge forward by accident when you are on your brakes while in gear.
