Thoughts of Nitrous
Anybody have any experience with Nitrous on their Cl-s? I was looking around ebay and noticed a bunch of kits for sale....I have no idea if its worth the money or would rag out some parts on my engine....

I don't believe anyone has nos on a CL-S yet...I know CLpower has it on his first gen.
As long as you don't over abuse it, it should be okay. Abusing = Using it everyday, multiple times a day!
Tranny should hold up to using it during races...you can always opt for a tranny workover. MchtypeS got that done I believe. Level 10 I think??

I believe that MchtypesS only got the torque converter upgrade. The stall speed is increased. There are parts they "could" be upgraded in the tranny and beefed-up.
To change the operating characteristics of the box, would require a re-program job of the ECU/PGM-FI.

One of the guys from the miami meet had nitrous in his 2000 TL. I would ask over there at the acura-tl.com board. They seem to have a little more experince with it.

nitrous is fun, just don't abuse it and make sure the install is done right. Your tranny will be fine, there is a big myth about our tranny be weak, mainly mine not yours. I feel it's just because people try to drive it like it was a stick constantly stepping on the pedle (me included). But as far as nitrous goes, i'd say start off w/ a 40 shot and work your way no higher then a 75.

Why start with one size then switch to another? Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get one size and stick with it?
I mean why not just get a 60shot or something like that?
Wouldn't going from 40-75 require new parts?
Also, what size tank should one get?
Is there any limit on how long that stuff lasts in the tank?
And where would you fill it?

the only new parts required to change the shot size are 2 jetting that run about 1$ each. The kit usually comes w/ them and the combo of different settings will yield different shots.
Get a 10lb bottle. It's standard. It will last in the bottle forever, but you'll only get about 10-14 1/4 runs out of a bottle w/ a 60 shot. Nitrous oxide systems has a list of places to get it filled on their site.
