thought some of you would like this NEW mod

so i was cruising ebay and came across these new red gauges and thought of all you US based CLers..

I was going to buy them but they are in miles per hour and that won't work with mine which is in km/h because the speedo actually travels more on the km/h than the mph. cause my speedo only goes to 240kms and the US one goes to 160 mph which is more than mine thus it would not show the correct speed i think.

otherwise i would have ordered it by now.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/RED-GLOW-2001-200...item3a6516c069

hopefully someone will get these.. I would just love to see them in person. :-(

So, these gauges won't fit 6 speed clusters?

These guys are good! They made some gauges for the Si that match the car's stock gauges perfectly!

Actually, I think the gauges look pretty good.. just sort of out of place. Maybe it'd flow well with someone who has done LEDs for the rest of their dash

Yea, it would obviously flow better with red LEDs on the dash.

Install would be the same as reverse glow gauges. Very easy mod. It's just nice to know there's an option for the Type-S users now, as no gauge overlays were previously available for the Type-S clusters. Still don't know about the 6 speed clusters.

i don't think they are just overlays... They have the lighting built into them I believe. so they must be led lit or something

I would like it a lot more if the circles around the base of the needles were not there.

Yea, their just like reverse glow gauges. The overlay completely blocks off the stock bulb light, and replaces it with the built in lighting.

If you guys don't like the inner circle light, you can actually just cut a connector, and it won't light up.

So does this go over the stock gauges or is it completely replace them?

Wish the glow was hyperwhite instead of that blue hue.

It goes over them. Nothing gets replaced. It's a pretty simple mod.

They are the same thing as reverse glow gauges. Yes, they simply go over them. It looks pretty good.

You crimp a connector to the end of a positive wire. That wire goes to some pin made specifically for it. That way, it only lights up when you switch your headlight dial to middle or fully on.

Negative terminal gets a crimp to connect to this screw that is in contact with electrons.

Easy job, no soldering. Takes 10 minutes. Hardest part is staying upside down for ~10 mins without throwing up.

I remember there being a reverse glow gauges install guide somewhere around here. I guess I could make one if someone needs it.
