Those of you that have traded the CL

How much did you get for her?
What year?
Dealer or Private?
How many miles?
CL-P or CL-S?
What was her condition?

I traded my 2001 CL-S in for the 6-Speed in March of 2002.
With about 22,000 miles and EXCELLENT condition I got 24,000 for it.
Plus the 1,440 PA tax credit for the trade.

you paid sticker for the 6 speed, right??? i mean seriously, you made out like a fuckin BANDIT on that trade in...24,000??? i bet they had a HARD time selling that car for even a penny of profit!! they must have just been more interested in making a profit by not giving you a discount on the sticker of the 6 speed. ive never heard of anyone getting 24k for any kind of CL-S, thats incredible, you must be some hard-hitting negotiator!!

I paid sticker for the 6-Speed, but I got many of the options (spoiler, Emblems, Splashguards & such) for free or way below cost.
I think it came out to about 800 off retail.

what was your negotiating technique to get such a large amount on trade?? i tried EVERYTHING (walking out, meeting half way on difference of opinion of trade in value, telling them other dealers offered more, etc) to get even an extra couple hundred on trade in, and NOTHING worked.

Traded my '01 CL-S (Sundance Gold too) in July of '03 for the 6-Speed. The car had about 27k miles and was in perfect shape. They gave me $21,500 for it and I got about $1500 of the price of the 6-Speed.

i made out positive on my loan thats all i wanted to accomplish:

2003 6 speed CL-S w/Navi
13K miles, traded it in about two months ago now.
Talked my way up to 24K

I tried to make up for pretty much getting raped on the purchase so I wasn't taking any low balls

Traded for a '03 350z. I got 19k with 48k miles on the car (no extended warranty). This was in End of May. Didnt care to sell privately, because I made up the difference with the tax savings.
