For those of you with CAIs...

Have you taken your car in for any services with the CAI in? If so, did your dealer say anything about the intake? I.e. void your warranty or anything? I'm kindof worried about voiding my warranty since I have an extended one...and if they tried to pull any sh!t, did you guys say anything? It's almost time for my 7500 mile tuneup...

Thanks alot guys...

well i was at the dealer today and they didnt say shit, if they did i dont know what i'd do. I dont know if they saw it b/c the had to replace my cd changer, who knows if the looked under the hood. One would hope they would be impressed with the intake. I really dont think they care unless a problem arises, thts when u pull a fasty on em and put in the old intake again(thats what i plan on doing)

If you're nervous about it (I don't think you should be, but I'm not you), then just keep the original around and put it back in if you take the car in for warranty serivce.

I took mine in for some quick service and the two (lead techinical) technicians inquired about it. They even asked if it was an AEM intake which it was. We got to talking about the headers being next and even the service writer joined in the discussion without any negative comments. Mostly interest.

But then again, I did have a field day proving them wrong about the IMRC system functionality even provided dyno charts proving mine wasn't working.

Unless you have a engine-hydrolock, they have to shut-up and do warrentee service.

Actually they are :
1) Making more money from Acura
2) Your K&N Filer of the CAI is better than the stock paper filter

I myself went to the dealer and showed the parts rep my cool polished intake . He was impressed! Oh yeah do some (simple) engine mods yourself and you are the man!.

Definitely, my dealer quoted me 4 - 5 hrs labor for the header install. They were pleased and surprised to hear it took 2-1/4 hours fo me to do it.
