Alright, i'm looking to buy a used cl or cls(my TL was totaled last week), depending on price, and in southern/central jersey are I haven't found any certified cars under 17k? Am i imagining things, or did all you guys have contacts at the places you bought your cars? For instance, sussman acura has a beatiful non-type s cl, 2003 with 51k miles listed for 19k, another dealer has a bunch of CL's listed at 17, with CLS listed at 19k. I'd love to get myself into a black CLS with navi, but I need to keep the price under 18, is it gonna be possible to find one that is certified?

'01 White CL Type-S, no navi. I bought from a small dealer for $16,500 with 57K miles. It has some curb scars, but the interior is mint. If I could get 130K miles on the tranny I would be happy

Most likely not. However, you could buy my CL-S with 90k miles and a few minor mods (nothing major) for $14,500.

Another reference point. Beetroot has lowered his price on his:

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/sold-2001-acura-cl-type-s-295654/

Me and ShawnS have been saying that keeping our 6spds might be the way to...

I could trade my CLS in on a summer only car, but then have to buy a beater for the winter. I might as well keep the cls as a winter beater and cruise around in comfort.

You're going to pay a bit more for a certified car, but remember, the advertised price is just an asking price, you can offer anything you want for it.

If you're not hung up on the certified thing, you can find a members car here (like Mr.Steve's) at a better price then at a dealer.

The car has been serviced by my local Acura dealership since the day I purchased it. I have every reciept showing oil changes etc...

The car is in great shape!... buy it!

Damn sometimes I get so depressed looking at the resale value of our cars. I want to get rid of my 01 CLS black on black with navi and get a 6 speed but damn I still owe like 18 on it. I want a friggin 6 speed.

Yeah, this is really disappointing...but I keep telling myself that I didn't by my '03 6-speed for investment reasons....even though the depreciation is so much, I never planned on getting rid of it and I will be driving this car to the ground. Still hard to hear about the value of it.

got my 03 CLS 5AT in may 04, brand new with 700 miles.. all from test driving b/c it wasn't demo, I was the first owner... bought it at 26,000 after taxes and titles... couldn't be any happier with the purchase considering we paid 32,000 for my mom's 02 TL with navi exaclyl one year ago prior to my car purchase... I agree, depreciation is ALOT for CL but I knew that before purchasing it.. I only have 17K on it right now and planning on drive it till 100K then i'll get rid of it for whatever money I can get out of it... woulnd't be dissappointed tho... b/c i know i'll enjoy it!!

Traded my CL-S in last month for $13,800.

Non-Navi, 53,000 miles - very good condition (not even one door ding).

Bought my '01 SMR/Ebony non-navigation on January 20th. She had 33,347 miles as I was signing the papers. I only ended up paying $13,100 out the door.

Oh yeah, do yous guys mind if I get dibs on the Ice Box?

Black AC

I just got mine on Sunday the 17th of April from a small dealer new where I live. Its a 2001 Black CL-S Auto with 69k miles and no nav. Got for $14,950. It was $15,990 but I got some money off because it had no keyfob, no code for the radio, the back of the passenger seat started to come off during the test drive, the tires are virtually done for (not that it matters anyway, as they will be replaces VERY soon), and the rims were all scraped up (again, doesn't matter).

So, I was talkin to the local dealer, sussman acura, I got them down to 15,800 for an 03 CL with 52000, i balked though cause of the miles on the newer car (my 99tl only had 62000 miles on it when i crashed). It can definitely go lower right? or am i delusional and should go back and put the deposit down right away?
