Those who bought Used CL's...how much did you pay???
Hey guys,
Still shopping around for my 01 CL-S, but still very unclear on prices. Some places charging 22k, some places charging 18k. Yet, I hear around the boards here that people are paying 14-15-16k! Where the heck are these prices coming from.
Please post your price of purchase & mileage at purchase point. O yea, model and year would be nice too. Thx all!

I purchased an Certified 01 CL-S with 26000 miles, for $17,500. It was a great deal not only did Acura give there lowest interest rate (4.9%) they also put new OEM Rims (old rim where scrached) and new OEM tires + they did the 30000 mile Mx on it, and of course there 150 point inspection for it to be Certified, and because of that it came with a 12000k/12month Bumper to bumper warranty on top of the 7yr/100K. And that was at the World Largest Acura Dealer here in South Florida. And that was in March of this year.

I bought mine 6 months ago for $18k. It had 34k miles, new tires, no navi, and was certified. I probably could have gotten it lower, but I got entirely too much moeny for my trade in-which I know came from the price of the car-but all in all, I got a good deal for the market.
That is one thing that you have to remember, markets vary!! People posting that they got their CL-S for cheap are probably not in your market. Prices vary greatly from market to market. For instance, here in TX, you can get a suburban for several thousands below sticker. However, up north in NE, you will be lucky to get it for only a little under sticker if that. Just remember, almost everything in life is negotiable!! Don't be afraid to walk on a deal if you think you can do better-do not succumb to the new car itch!!

This might be a good read before you look into buying, very long, but interesting:

Also, if your willing to search online do that, go to different states for different dealers and also private sales. You're likely to find someone who will sell the car at a lower price in a different market , this is one thing stated in "The Millionare Next Door".
Good luck with your search.

Sold my white 03 CLS 6 speed No Navi for $24,000 in March 04, had 15k miles.
& got another 03 CLS 6 speed w/Navi for $24,750 in March 04, had 7500 miles.
You will find a good deal, just keep looking.
Buy cheap from an individual or pay a little more and get a 'certified' one from a dealer.

I bought my 02 CLS with navigation for 23,500 or so. Before ya'll flip, it had 33,000 miles on it, already tinted, certified pre owned, and i decided to have lojack installed and extend my warranty to 7 year/100,000 miles. To me, that's not a bad deal at all.

what gave it away? The post count or the price? Don't get me wrong, I had been looking for a deal for months, and I went to a different state just to pick it up.

01 CL-S, black on black, navi, 38k miles, still under warranty.
3 previous owners?? but Acura Warranty Records say it's only been taken in ONCE for problems at about 18k mi (i'm guessing if it had major issues or had been abused, it would have been taken in a lot), which was a brake job. Their mechanics also say the frame and everything is perfectly fine, and no major accident almost positive. But man, how can a car have 4 owners in 4 years?
Asking 17.7k in SoCal, probably can get it for 16.5-17k.
What do you all think? 16k is a lil low around here, can't get an 01 CL-S with less than 40 or 50 for that price.

'03 CL-S 6spd no navi, purchased USED from a Toyota dealer with 1,300 miles on the clock for $24,500,
Jan 30th 04. Car came with these Acura dealer installed options: wood steering wheel, spoiler,
gold package, 18" premium spoked chrome wheels with 235 tires plus aftermarket installed
Kenwood audio system with 600w amp in the trunk! It is possible I could sell it today for more than
I paid for it, but I won't. At 1,300 miles when purchased, this was for most considerations, a new car.

scarface, are you saying the standard certified Acura warranty is 100k bumper to bumper or did you also buy a separate 100k extended warranty? What Acura calls 'certified' is 1yr/12k added onto the original warranty (does not cover as much as the original tho) and a powertrain warranty of 7 yr 100k. It's a good deal but it is not bumper-bumper.
Just reminded me of my dealer lying to me about the certified warranty, they'll say anything to make a sale.

Bought my CPO 01 CL-S in Feb of this year for $18K. It was advertised for $21,995. NADA was $18.5K and KBB was over $22K. If you buy any used vehicle, use the NADA for haggling. Most, if not all, dealerships use the KBB (this is what I've heard). 4.49% financing through my credit union. Acura didn't want to match it.

I just bought my 2003 Nighthawk Black Pearl 5AT 2 weeks ago for $23,500. It is in mint to new condition with spoiler but w/o navi. Has just over 11k miles on it. It is also certified pre-owned.

I actually purchased a separate warranty that is bumper to bumper to 100K miles. I wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't bumper to bumper because, as you pointed out, the stock powertrain warranty is for 100K miles.

It the warranty a Full 100% bumper to bumper Warranty, or are there parts that it does not cover. I guess its an Acura Warranty and if so how much u pay ?
