Those who bought Trimbrite Door Edge: another use for it

I took my front license plate bracket out to try to flip it, but it has already marked my front bumper. I tried waxing it out but the bracket has cut a line into the paint.

Got me thinking... I am going to use the door edge around the bracket (where it touches the bumper) as a cushion.

Hope it works. I have to go buy more since I liked it so much, I sent the balance to my older brother to use on his Civic.

So what do you do to fix the bumper? I used to have a front plate and when I decided to take it off (Kansas does not require on), I did so just in time but I still have a slight mark. If waxing doesn't work, what?

Yup, nothing you can do once you get the nice line etched in by the license frame.

But I am going to get the door edger on so I do not make it any worse.

Just what this board needs another F*&*&^kin know it all. And especially one who calls regular members "cheap". I'd take a spin past a body shop and ask them about the license plate marks on the bumper, they may be able to do a light compound buff to get them out. It doesn't have to be perfect, that area is being hit with stones all the time.

Before I even put my plate on, rear only in LA, I was afraid that it would scratch the paint. I found some felt pads with sticky stuff on one side, the kind that you would put under furniture legs so that it does not scratch your floor, and stuck it to the plate. Never looked to see, but I am sure that it works fine.

CO-CL-S : wow! I don't know how I pissed you off. But I can't remember calling anyone cheap and if I find something that may help another member out, I will post it.

If you take offense at it, please do not click on any of my future post.

Gee! Thanks again for that great Christmas spirit and wished..

As you (Eggplant-EX) didn't make the comment the reply was not towards you. As (Dafmann) did make the comment the reply was to them.
