i am driving home yesterday, so i needed cigarettes so i pull into this gas station in jersey. I park and get out and walk in bought my cigs and walked out. Walking to my car i unlock it and get in, as i am getting in one asshole opens the passenger door and gets in and trys to knock me out and take the keys while the other one opens the driver door and is trying to drag me out. As we are fighting one guy from the gas station comes out running with a bat and the assholes take off. Damage done you may ask: Broken rear-view mirror, Broken windshield wiper arm, which by the way the wipers wont turn off cuz the switch is now broken and acura wont have the part until wedensday so ia m assed out, a bruised right arm and fist and a nice lil lump on my head. Oh and my 3ct. diamond braclet, that got fucked up cuz i was trying to hold my own and the dude tried to kick my hand good thing they aint steal that. Now i need some help, how can i get the wipers to stop, the freaking fuse is with the starter and i cant take that out or else i wont be able to start the car. I tried messin with the switch its gone it wont work anymore. Any suggesstions on how to disconnect the wipers until wedensday when i get the switch.

 

Damn, I don't know what to tell you about the switch but that sucks! I'm glad you made it out ok and with your car though!

If no one else can help, i probably can when i get home, I have the helms at my house. i'll check back on here when i get home and let you know what to disconnect if no one else beats me to it. Definitely glad to hear that nothing major happened to you or your car though.

Damn dude! I'm really sorry to hear that! That's such bull shit. My guess, is you can unscrew the arms and take them off, that way the motors are still going, but you're not messing up your wipers by running on a dry windsheild. Just one nut, so it will be easy to remove.

i was in fort lee, yeah i had kicked one of them in the nut and then other caught a couple of jabs in the face, but if it wasnt for the gas attendant i dunno what would of happened. Yeah the cops came and i gave them a description and i filed a report and shit, hopefully the cameras in the gas station would pick up those asswipes. I was suprised because i thought fort lee was good. but all is well i am just so drained

I just had a crazy thought on the wiper issue... Why not try simply pulling the connector of of the wiper motor? I don't know how easy it is to get to it but it's an idea and it would definitely shut it off.

 

Me personally, I woulda just let them have it. I would have grabbed my wallet, phone, and cigs, and let them have it. But I would be on the phone with the cops as they were leaving. I have full coverage and recipts of all my parts, so I wouldn't be too worried. Glad you're okay though.

For the wipers, take them off, then take the wiper cowl off then unplug the wiper motor electrical connector.

 

Damn. I lived in Fort Lee for a couple years. One of the safest places I've lived in. But there are a lot of shady looking people at those service stations on RT 46.

 

All is well i am on my way to pick up the wiper arm and the rear view mirror from acura. $32 for the wiper arm and $0 for the rear view mirror, cant go wrong! Installation on those things arent too hard so i am put them when i get back to the office.

You can do that here too as long as 1.) the weapon is in plain sight (as in redneck gun rack in back window) and if it's not in plain sight, 2.) you have a conceled weapons license. My stepdad used to carry a gun on his person most of the time and no one ever knew. Not like he needed it though. HUGE guy. You'd have to be a crack head to mess with him.
