Thermometer Temperature Offset

If you hold the Select and Reset buttion on the tripodometer at the same time for 10 seconds or so you can adjust the offset for you thermometer.

Anyone know what this should be set at? Mine is set to 0 right now but it can be adjusted +/- 3 Degress.

The adjustment exists for those people who are convinced the bank has a better or more accurate method of determining outside air temps .The factory setting is for 0 you can set it to suit your needs .

My thermometer is always 8-10 degrees higher than the real temperature. This morning it said 52, on the radio they said 41 at the airport, which was less than a mile away from me. Last night it said 67, my buddys car said 57 and I know his was right. It was definitely not 67. Think I can get this fixed or get the thermometer replaced or something?

Just do what philgates suggested . Choose -3....Do it three times and then do a -1 , That will adjust your thermometer 10 degrees

i think u can only adjust it once, it's a +/- 3 degrees of what the thermometer reads. you can't repeat it to adjust it.

I think you can only change it 3 degress. Jens would probably know more about it. I stumbled across this feature trying to reset my mainenence light off. I was holding down the select and reset and then it beeped and i saw that i could set the offset for the thermometer.

Yeah i agree with jens. If you temp is really off you should try to make sure the temp sensor is clean.
